A common difficulty is that students get water in their nose. Remind students to stay calm and not rush through the skill. If students have difficulties learning this skill, you can try to break it up in smaller steps. Have them practice above the surface, or practice without letting water in first. Make sure to hold your student’s regulator in their mouth.
