One of the highlights of Koh Chang is definitely the Mu Ko Chang National Park, which covers large parts of the island and its healthy coral reefs. For many divers, the HTMS Chang is the highlight of their diving experience in Koh Chang. It is the largest wreck in Thailand that is easily accessible to recreational divers, making it a must-see dive site for wreck enthusiasts of all levels.

Bang Bao

Our modern and cozy dive center is located in the south of Koh Chang, in the charming fishing village of Bang Bao—just a short walk from the famous Bang Bao Pier, where all dive boats leave from. This part of the island is relaxed and welcoming, with plenty of affordable guesthouses, beachfront bungalows, and boutique resorts.

You’ll also find a great mix of local Thai shops and laid-back seafood restaurants built on stilts over the water, making it the perfect place to stay and enjoy the island life.

How to get there

Getting to Koh Chang is easy and there are several ways to get to the island. You can take a short flight from Bangkok to Trat Airport, followed by a 30-minute taxi ride to the ferry pier. From there, it’s just a 30–45 minute ferry ride to the island.

If you prefer to travel overland, buses and minivans run daily from Bangkok straight to the ferry pier. Once you arrive, local taxis (songthaews) are ready to take you anywhere on the island, including Bang Bao in the south.
