IDC Schedule
The PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) takes ten days, but that’s just the beginning of your instructor adventure. You should also plan for:
PADI Instructor Exam (IE) – 2 extra days after the IDC
PADI Specialty Instructor training – 2 extra days if you want to add more teaching options and boost your future job opportunities
Fun dives before the IDC – to get comfortable, explore the local marine life, and enjoy the destination
Instructor internships – some of our partnering dive centers offer longer PADI Instructor internships, so if you really want to build teaching experience and confidence before applying for jobs, this is a fantastic option
Co-teaching opportunities – we also offer co-teaching programs, where you assist real students and gain hands-on teaching experience alongside experienced instructors.
